Located amidst wooded hills and lush jungle Kirimaya Golf Resort & Spa offers panoramic views of the Khao Yai National Park and boasts one of the best courses in Thailand. It's certainly best quality golf resort in the Khao Yai area, with an excellent, well-maintained, out-and-back layout that blends seamlessly with its gently undulating surroundings.
The thick vegetation allows you to feel totally cut off from the world and remain totally focussed on a round of golf that will involve negotiating hilly terrain whilst trying to carefully pick your way round a course that is, at first look, fairly daunting.
With an emphasis on using the natural surroundings to the full, you'll find natural wetland areas encroaching into fairways and small ponds and lakes waiting to swallow misdirected balls. The thick jungle that borders many of the holes is not technically out of bounds, but might as well be as you aren't finding your ball in there.
However, we don't mean to make this course sound more difficult than it is - even high handicappers should be able to put in a reasonable score and if you listen to the advice of your caddy then shots that look intimidating from the tee can often be fairly simply negotiated.
The signature par-4 16th is up there with the best holes Nicklaus has designed: as it dog-legs past a huge tree towards a green heavily guarded by water it's easy to forget you are here mainly for the golf rather than the view. Another excellent hole is the beautiful par-5 3rd, which rewards golfers who successfully avoid the water on the left side of the fairway with a birdie opportunity or sure par.

Great layout
2nd best in area after Toscana, fairways a bit patchy and greens a bit inconsistent but very playable and enjoyable course.Too expensive
If you don’t stay at the hotel this course is too expensive for what they provide . Fairways are average, the greens are dry and slow and the bunkers are bad. There are better options in this area. But the staff is very friendly and you feel highly welcome.Excellent layout in very average condition
This is a somewhat scruffy resort course that winds through the jungle. The greens are in poor condition, with patchy surfaces lacking any grass, and the tee boxes could use more care and attention. While the fairways are acceptable, the areas around the greens are mostly cow grass, making chipping particularly challenging.
