Panorama Golf & Country Club
About
Excellent mature course with great views that's well worth the trip
Located on the way to Khao Yai National Park and accessible from both Bangkok and Korat, the Panorama Golf and Country Club, opened in 1993, is an excellent and mature 18-hole course that's well worth the drive. The course winds through the local virgin forest up to a bluff offering breathtaking views of the entire Khao Yai valley. With sloping fairways, plentiful bunkering and water occasionally in play, there's plenty to challenge you.
The golf course at the Panorama Golf and Country Club is thoughtfully designed to complement the contours of the mountain-rimmed valley, offering players a pleasant and breezy experience. To add to the challenge, the course designers have relied primarily on the natural land contours to create hazards, although water does intrude on holes three, four, and 15.
On the par-4 10th hole, players face a particularly tricky shot, as they must tee-off over a valley and across the face of a hill to a blind green that doglegs left. While better hitters may be able to reach the green in a single shot, for those unfamiliar with the course, the shot can be intimidating, as it appears that a well-struck tee shot may end up in the jungle above the left.
The Panorama Golf and Country Club is renowned for its excellent year-round maintenance, with greens rolling fast and true, and fairways and tees immaculately manicured. The clubhouse offers various amenities, including two swimming pools, local and international restaurants, and basic overnight lodging facilities. The natural environment and stunning panoramic views make it a lovely spot to unwind after a game.
Reviews
Average course but better options closer to Khao Yai
The course is located about an hour north of central Khao Yai, and with plenty of other options closer, I’m not sure it’s worth the drive. The course is in decent condition, with very dry fairways but reasonably good greens, which are extremely fast. Accuracy is crucial here—stray even slightly off-line, and your ball can easily bounce into the jungle, where it’s unlikely to be found. The clubhouse facilities are average but adequate. Will I return to play this course again? Probably not."A bit of a long drive but certainly worth the effort"
Had no idea what to expect when I set out to play this course but was very pleasantly surprised. Superb layout and it’s so peaceful playing here so no distractions. Surprisingly quick greens which took a bit of getting used to. Great golf course and nice food in in the clubhouse." Great golf course - you must play"
A huge clubhouse with excellent facilities and you will need a cart on this courses as its quite hilly. Great fun right from the opening hole – was a bit dry due to lack of rain when I played but was generally in good condition with fast greens. Definitely a must play courses if you are in the area.Course Info
