Situated just a short journey from Bangkok, in Nakhon Nayok near the stunning Khao Yai National Park, Royal Hills Golf Course Resort & Spa features Thailand's only Nelson & Wright-designed course. It's challenging without being daunting, with undulating greens and well-placed natural features contributing to the unique experience of playing on this hilly terrain. The course spans over 7000 yards and is often used for both professional and amateur events in Thailand.
The opening hole at Royal Hills Khao Yai presents a great example of the course's challenges, with a tee shot over a stream to reach the fairway. While the fairway is wide, a tree situated in the middle requires careful consideration of ball placement. The green is narrow but deep, and a large bunker at the front-left provides protection.
On the back nine, water hazards become more prevalent, with the 13th hole serving as a prime example. This par-3 requires a tee shot over a lake to reach the green. Meanwhile, the tee shot on the par-4 15th hole must clear a stream that runs along the fairway's right side. Bunkers on either side of the green provide an additional challenge.
In addition to the highly rated golf course and luxurious clubhouse, there are four restaurants, a swimming pool, snooker tables, table tennis, and fitness center to enjoy. Royal Hills Khao Yai comes highly recommended and is a complete resort for golfers and non-golfers alike.
